Run To the Ocean
Society encourages you to be a box, square or star.
Fool them all. Be a unicorn, prancing around, tossing monkeys into Jupiter.
The status quo wants to pigeonhole you. Use your jet pack. Fly to the moon.
Throw stars down and clonk them on their silly heads.
Your family likes to make fun of you; some apologize for your brightness.
Take your intelligence far far away to Ever-Ever-Land; nurture yourself gladly.
Fools like to tell you how wrong you are; bray at them with donkey teeth.
Run to the ocean and become a blue whale.
Swim to Alaska. It’s the least you can do.
