Notes About The Poem

Trying to keep it real hope you all like it

Run To the Light

Every now and then a day comes when I just can't find the light
And I feel so dead inside
But I just can't run
.
I want to believe
But I don't know what's left in me,
Lord I just can't run
.
So with all my might
And with what strength is left inside, I run to the Light
I run to the Light
.
And my bones are frozen cold
There's no life left in my soul
But I can't run away because I've no where else to go
.
Here I sit alone and crying
Afraid to live yet afraid of dying
Can I trust in someone that I can't see,
And I want to believe
Can You help me please?
There's no place that You can't find me
No place on earth that You are blind
To this darkness in my soul that I try to hide
.
So with all my might
And with what strength is left inside, I run to the Light
I run to the Light
.
Then I come to still waters where You have always been
And in spite of all my sin You still call me friend.
You wash my soul with peace
And my fears they melt away and I believe . . .
That's good enough for me to face the brand new day
.
So with all my might
And with what strength is left inside, I run to the Light
I run to the Light

I wish that more of us would, "run to the light"; if we did, the world might be a much better place. Beautiful.
