Run For Cover
My pen is a dangerous weapon so you best run for cover
There have been many casualties, don't become another
Speak my mind, never been one to stutter
My pen is full so you best run for cover
I'll take 7 Poets and put them in a line
Add another 7, and I still won't be out rhymed
There's not enough paper for the amount of rhymes in my mind
I was raised with Hip-Hop, so Rakim and me will get on fine
I don't sweat the technique because I'm paid in full
Attacking the paper with the aggression of a raging bull
Have I made this poem too much about Hip-Hop for the average reader?
Well you should still follow the leader
My love of Hip-Hop is something that sticks with me
I'm not a Ghetto boy, but my mind is playing tricks on me
I'm not a poet I just rhyme a lot
Orgasmic flow because I always find the spot
I used my hand to express myself because no one offered a hand to me
Hip-Hop picked me up when no one would stand with me
Hip-Hop was always there for me and became my family
I'm going to write until Nas, Rakim, Ice Cube and Eminem become a fan of me
My pen is a dangerous weapon so you best run for cover
There have been many casualties, don't become another one
I speak my mind, never been one to stutter
My pen is full so you best run for cover
