She made her way over to him without saying a word, because it was words that had hurt her. Her head bent to the floor watching her feet, with each and every step. Left, Right, Left... She focused on not showing any emotion as she moved swiftly toward her love, yet her foe. Left, Right, Left, Right... If she had known this was going to happen, why did it hurt so much? Her legs felt heavy as they shuffled over this endless walk. Left, Right, Left, Right, Left... Although her head was bent, she could feel the heat of two impatient eyes boring holes into the front of her head, waiting. Cautiously, she approached outstretched arms inviting her in, daring her to enter. Stop. She raised her head, slowly daring him to meet her two blue eyes, now filled with tears. The only sound heard was the beating of her heart, fast, and pounding, it filled her ears, her eyes, her senses electrified with the ferocious pounding. She took a step past him and then another, Left, Right, as her footsteps sped up she left behind the sound of her name being repeated, she left behind believable lies, she left behind love, she ran until all she heard was the rapid pace of her footsteps. Left, Right, Left, Right...
