Rummage

I rummage through my memories Like a Meercat in the sand The morning sun that warms my chest Bringing solace to my land Memories lined like domino's Precariously arranged Recollections stand like soldiers Sentinels of ordered change But tiny fingers scratch the sand Like a digger at the grave Disturbing everything below Rearranging in the cave For nothings ever as it seems Sand is resting our dreams

Really like this one, David. Especially enjoyed the comparison of memories to dominoes -- soldiers, sentinels of ordered change. Very deep thoughts here. Well done! Love, Carolyn
