Rule Number One At Mcdonald's
Rule Number One at McDonald’s
By Elton Camp
To use the drive-through I prefer
But hate the incidents that occur
“Would you repeat your order, please.”
So often I have heard words like these
“Order when ready,” the worker said
Nevertheless, no sound entered his head
Did his hearing aids go down
Just at the time I came around?
Or would it be uncouth to mention
He was just wasn’t paying attention?
Then sometimes, on the other hand
A worker’s accent is hard to understand
Is that actually English he’s speaking
Or an interpreter should I be seeking?
Rule #1: “The employee who is hard-of-hearing or has the
thickest accent must work the drive-thru at all times.”
