Rufus Rat

No - said the pig to Rufus Rat
( Refusing to enter his race )
This pool of mud
It cools my blood
Another go ask in my place

No - said the hen to Rufus Rat
( Refusing to enter his race )
I have some seed
On which to feed
Another go ask in my place

No - said the cow to Rufus Rat
( Refusing to enter his race )
The grass is sweet
It’s good to eat
Another go ask in my place

No - they all said to Rufus Rat
Another go ask in our place
The pig ( a sow )
The hen and cow
Had never before won a race

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
