Rude Awakening
Bleeding me dry, emptying everything
Pushing my buttons to see which one will explode
Shoving me aside to see how it takes for to to erode
Digging a mote to watch me swim with the alligators
Tossing in a harpoon to make it seem you're trying to save me
Stabbing at my chest to see if you can hit my heart
Watching me struggle seems to make you excited
I can see the look on your face the way you smile
You never really cared for anybody else
I could climb from the ditch and follow you home
But I think I'd rather stay and get eaten alive
The water is nice and warm and the color is beautiful
The beasts around me keep me warmer than you could ever do
If you want to know where I'll be tonight
I will be standing by your bedside holding a gators head
The blood you saw me swimming in wasn't mine
When you wake up in the morning I will be gone
You will be filled with dread and will be welcomed by a gators smile
