Rude Awakening

Am sure it was a competition
To see who could wake the humans
The cockatoos started the show
With their flamboyant flight
And ruckus callings
joined by the mad galahs
Their screeching an radical swerving
The crow just looked on
Its bland call to high and mighty
For this sight
The kookaburras started to laugh
In a family group
An in joke am sure
Nothing like the king of the bush
Laughing at Queen Mary falls
The king parrots flew through the scene
In silent flight
As the bower birds jumped round
Making car alarm sounds
In came the rosellas
With a little peep
Then on to their tree
To wait patiently for a feed
This all took ten minutes
I look on in discuss
And then back at my bed
Where I should still be
Resting my head

Hi Darlene. Australia have some very beautiful birds and they start up at all hours of the night, sometimes it is hard to sleep.

Hello Dominic Middleton, I have one question: Who can sleep with all that noise? Have a nice day my friend. I like the Doves their cooking is a gentle sound.
