Rubies In the Weeds
Hello, Slim Hope. I haven't kissed you for quite some time.
Life slapped veils of blackness over my sunny side.
Remember when forever donned a diadem of dream.
Rubies tap dancing in maelstroms of witches' weed.
You were always there- the most loyal of them all.
Lifting spirits onto crystal clouds after my greatest fall.
Even when my venom deflowered your pristine heart.
You never left me hobbled or left me to bleed out in the dark.
To honor you, in every maze, I've bound the minotaur with chains.
Upon the parched face of Oz- you were a dewdrop atop an emerald plain.
