Rubicund Fall

Tanned bright sienna leaves float down gently,
Yellow and red and brown are aplenty;

Everywhere I go I'm drenched in leaf rain,
One by one they fall, all over again;

Raking up the fallen leaves, I'm dancing,
Along with the wind that's slow romancing;

Whistling with the breeze blowing through the trees,
Vermillion and burgundy weave with ease;

Claret auburn shades I see everywhere,
Autumn is here with its rubicund fair.

Those ruddy shades of autumn are a joy to behold, and you gracefully accept that they must fall. You even "dance" while raking the leaves! I hate to see the colors fade to brown, but we both enjoy those brilliant colors of fall. Enjoyed very much, Jo! Hugs, Carolyn
