Origin:Latin. Meaning:queen. Regina is a girl's name of Latin origin. Meaning “queen,” Regina is the perfect choice for the new little princess in your life. In England, Regina was used as a title and the signature of the reigning queen and has since evolved into a regal feminine given name.

In Hebrew: Meaning: Queen. Biblical: Regina Jonas, ordained in 1935, was the first female rabbi. Gender: Female.

Regina, I find it amazing that your name means some of which I have actually written about you in two of my poems. I know you're aware of one of them, 'The Lovely Poetess, Regina McIntosh' remember "humble, yet so 'queenly'...?" There was a second poem, 'A Garden Wild', you probably didn't know that you were who I had in mind as the "monarch butterfly". I depicted myself as the little yellow butterfly, since your poems inspire me. I'm not sure you knew about that. I <3 this poem, amazes me :)

This is beautiful and your name so reflects your spirituality and your personality. If it's the contest I am thinking of, I was not able to really understand what was wanted from us exactly.

Creative way to go with this one. Not sure if it is for a contest or if it is if it has been judged. I think I have seen two others with Queen in the title. Reads like a good contender if it is for a contest. Thanks for sharing the information and for dropping by my page. Sara
