Round Trip

ROUND TRIP

This trip’s not on rails
Not even on foot or afloat
But adrift in a void -

Marked momentarily by my presence
Soon returning to its pristine state -

Is there a journey’s end?
Or, like a circle returning to the start,
Is it a round trip?

Journeys can be spiral, too. Each turn takes youto a new and different place, inside and out.
