Rotate Consciousness 2

Give with one hand, take back more with the other
Love your spouse, whilst lusting after another
Surrender to evil, after good’s domination
                     (Rotate consciousness)
Hold dear peace, before wars annihilation
Truth needs evidence, lies requiring not a trace
Break the mirror of unity, see separation in your face

"Hold dear peace, before wars anayalation" Mankind must put an end to war - or war will put an end to mankind-- John F. Kennedy I've flopped a few times with US contests, I found that the ones I listed were uplifting poems with God loves as an ending, mind bending. My "Refining Consciousness" is proof (a flop). Yours is a thought provoking piece, David

I think this one flopped too with US Anaya, the original one I wrote got POTD, it worked so well as a tanka, but I never entered it into the contest, because it didn’t address his line of enquiry, my own downfall is writing for myself, and not for the sponsors in contests, cheers David

I suppose as we go through life we shift from one to the other eventually realising where we want to be leaving that negative outlook on life behind us. Good luck David and enjoy your weekend. Tom

Indeed Tom, outlooks can rotate either way, but hey we’re only human, open to all the frailties and egos of man, have a great weekend, cheers David

David, you have written such a beautiful poem. You addressed the concerns of polarity and rotating consciousness in a very obvious and precise way. In fact, the cornerstone for everyone is their own ego. People are inclined to pursue anything they get their hands on without giving any thought to the concepts of honesty and ethics. Best wishes for the contest

Thank you Lasaad, you’re absolutely right I purposely went for the obvious and precise, I’m not sure if the seeker wants more elaborate debate in the contest, but this way I felt directly addressed and rotated his pointers, in my mind anyway, ah ego man’s greatest weakness and strength, in balance of course cheers David
