Give with one hand, take back more with the other 
     Love your spouse, whilst lusting after another
       Surrender to evil, after good’s domination 
                     (Rotate consciousness)
        Hold dear peace, before wars annihilation 
    Truth needs evidence, lies requiring not a trace 
 Break the mirror of unity, see separation in your face

Kennedy I've flopped a few times with US contests, I found that the ones I listed were uplifting poems with God loves as an ending, mind bending. My "Refining Consciousness" is proof (a flop). Yours is a thought provoking piece, David David Kavanagh June 19, 2023 at 2:55 PM I think this one flopped too with US Anaya, the original one I wrote got POTD, it worked so well as a tanka, but I never entered it into the contest, because it didn’t address his line of enquiry, my own downfall is writing for myself, and not for the sponsors in contests, cheers David

In fact, the cornerstone for everyone is their own ego. People are inclined to pursue anything they get their hands on without giving any thought to the concepts of honesty and ethics.
