Roses

Arrogance and confidence swirling Such close hues Paying the price of being known to collect beauty A mannequin's proposition: Live life or stagger through parts Glimpses of lucidity through a veil Wry smiles passing by Reach out before the fog descends A frozen kind of beauty Steam from the swelter Paint the canvas you have been given To make the hues your own Lest you lose It Before you wish for it to be lost
