Rose Sunset On Flint

Rose sunset on the Flint
Rose glowing through dark trees
What a beautiful sight
To set my mind at ease

The sunset in the west
Cast rose on the water
This winter sunset best
Since dining with lover

Looking to the east now
At the close of the day
There rose a golden moon
To guide us rest of way

To just sit and absorb
The glow of rose on Flint
But glow is only reminisce
Of God's accomplishment

On the left was sunset
To the right the moon rose
At same time too beauties
Awe inspired by God suppose

Ephraim Crud March 16, 2011 at 11:13 AM Lovely write, Sara. The most important rule of poetry, be it rhyme or prose, is rhythm. Most poems I read have many superfluous words. However, this read, I feel, would benefit with a bit more padding in order to achieve a better flow. Rose sunset on the Flint / Rose glowing through dark trees / Nature's own wondorous tint / To set a worried mind at ease. I hope you are not offended by this, it is not my intention, merely a suggestion. Thank you very much for sharing. eph.
