Rose Sunset On Flint

Rose sunset on the Flint Rose glowing through dark trees What a beautiful sight To set my mind at ease The sunset in the west Cast rose on the water This winter sunset best Since dining with lover Looking to the east now At the close of the day There rose a golden moon To guide us rest of way To just sit and absorb The glow of rose on Flint But glow is only reminisce Of God's accomplishment On the left was sunset To the right the moon rose At same time too beauties Awe inspired by God suppose

Lovely write, Sara. The most important rule of poetry, be it rhyme or prose, is rhythm. Most poems I read have many superfluous words. However, this read, I feel, would benefit with a bit more padding in order to achieve a better flow. Rose sunset on the Flint / Rose glowing through dark trees / Nature's own wondorous tint / To set a worried mind at ease. I hope you are not offended by this, it is not my intention, merely a suggestion. Thank you very much for sharing. eph.

If this occurred yesterday, Sara, you were seeing a beautiful full moon rising. I can easily picture through your words the pinkish glow on the flint as the sun fell. We have to feel grateful for all of the beauty God has bestowed for us to enjoy during our earthly life. Beautiful poem! Love, Carolyn
