Rosary-The Visitation
In haste Mary travelled to a town in Judah.
She went to see Elizabeth.
Safe within her womb she carried baby Jesus.
A secret she thought that she kept.
Mary entered into the house of Zechariah,
And as she spoke into the room,
Elizabeth was filled with the joy of the Spirit,
Her baby leapt within her womb!
“How should this happen that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Blessed are you who believed.
Blessed are you who believed!”
Mary, full of grace, overshadowed by the Spirit,
Humbly accepted the Lord’s will.
And she sang out in a voice so full of wonder,
Proclaiming God’s glory, still:
She said, “Great is our God. I am but His humble servant.
From age to age He is the same.
His mercy reaches out to all of those who fear Him.
Holy, holy, holy is His name.”
“How should this happen that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Blessed are you who believed.
Blessed are you who believed!”
O Lord, may we follow the example of Your mother.
And praise You with our every breath.
And Mary, gentle mother, we ask that you pray for us
Now and at the hour of our death.
