Rope Bridge Across the Chasm

Tension
Frustration
Impossible
	demands
		unmet
Self flowing
into Nothing
leaves uncertain emptiness

Glass canyon
abandoned lifeboat
infinite despairin
no one cares:
paradise forever lost
at the edge of possibility
on the desert's farther edge
at the lifeboat's moorage
on the canyon's rim.

	Before today:
	placid dream
	satisfying
	joyful
	cheer

	After today:
	possibilities
	probabilities
	uncertainty
	fear

Today
is a rope bridge across the chasm
between yesterday
and
tomorrow
