Roots That Breathe Within My Heartbeat
Roots That Breathe Within My Heartbeat
At every step,
their shadow guides me,
My father, steady as an oak in the breeze,
my mother, tenderness in all that feeds.
Their hands wove the thread of my fate,
with patience, love, and a steady gait.
Though time may rush and the world may spin,
my heart always flows back to them within.
I am the fruit of their strength and gaze,
with each triumph, I embrace them again.
No gold nor glory could ever replace,
the warmth in their eyes when I return to their space.
And if life ever calls me to roam,
I’ll carry their voices as my way home.
