Root of Bitterness

I have things burried
Deeper than the bottomless sea
Deep sea divers have found my arrogance
What if they knew the depth of my soul
And things burried from bitter root
And the inventions of lies
Lies that break covenants and heart
I sing for severed ties
The pain that would not let me speak again
The betrayals that would make me hate
The shame I could not wash away in rain
I have things burried
Deep, deep, deep inside
And this burial makes me love still
It is a long forgetfulness
That I may laugh and do your will.
