Romancing The Seasons - Title By Jim Slaughter
Autumn always tends to make me relax and unwind.
I’m not sure what it is, but I can’t get enough.
Maybe it’s the beauty that is so rare to find
That entices me when the world can be so rough.
Now, that my friend Winter is just around the bend,
I won’t be seeing Autumn for almost a year.
After three months with her, nine months alone I will spend,
Missing her warmth until, again, I can hold her near.
Maybe a short love affair with the comfort of Spring,
Where we share lazy, breezy days and the smell of rain.
But, just when I begin to enjoy the love she brings,
Her mood becomes stormy and her clouds completely drain.
So, I prepare for my whirlwind romance with Summer.
She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I always love the warmth of my favorite lover.
Basking in her love is the best place I can be.
