Romancing the Incomprehensible

Now here I am floating in the vessel The warmth still here in this body of water Soon I shall release this flesh Open the wound that pains me so It is calling me now A romance with the darkness To think I am in control I was given the master key The key to me I shall manipulate the how, the why Don’t cry Tears only pool my vision Slowly I will descend into my shallow breath Muffling under water distance echoes I leaving this body now Blue blood turns to scarlet ribbons Scarlet ribbons grow like hungry snakes Soon the vessel bleeds a cardinal’s coat Pale extremities adrift Peacefully stagnant Lifeless in winter’s abyss
