Roller Derby Queen

In the league, you are considered among the greats. What an awesome force being a woman on roller skates. As the team’s captain, there are no harbored fears. It all seems routine from performances done for years. The fans have loved you since graduation from training school. They all come to see “The Queen” thinking you are cool. What a sound the wheels make going around the track. With the other girls, you spearhead the attack. In a sixty-second jam, you skate past the pack. Attempts are made to get as many points as possible. How you skate at such a fast speed is incredible! What a big attraction you are at any rink. When this game is over, why not join me for a drink?

I am going to have to read more of your work. You write in rhyme like I do most of the time. To me it is not really poetry without a rhyme. Mike
