Roger, Over and Out
Federer’s retiring,
He finally announced.
He hasn’t played in ages, but
The newshounds, they all pounced.
A classy player, through and through,
He ranks up with the best,
To which his many titles
And his sponsors will attest.
It wasn’t a surprise for fans
And yet the message sent
Is that, in tennis circles,
There is something to lament.
