Rod

He wasn't a poet
He didn’t write poems
He didn't use meter
He didn’t use rhyme
He didn't use
The accepted forms
He wasn't a poet
He didn't write poems

Still I wonder
As I sit and write
Or maybe it just was
That he sold more
He was on tv
People knew his name
Maybe he was a poet
Maybe not they
