Rocky Road
The dry wind cracks against me
Pins and needles running through my blood
I choke and pull myself up, again
Again and again and again
As thoughts swirl through my head
In a mire of metal and asphalt
Breaking angel wings
This fall has cost me so much
Along with the ones I love
Big eyes glued inward
Trying SO HARD to turn around
As the wheels of my Honda
Spin in the mud
And still I get up and dress myself
To the nines
And bluster into the wind
Umbrellas floating in the breeze
And I keep walking
I must keep walking
