Notes About The Poem

Rock Me

Rock Me

Dearest Mother,
how should I begin?
You were/are mine,
"Claimed", forever.

You adopted me,
to see that life was not...
meant to be: cruel or hard,
evil or even maddening and manic.
It was instead,
a gift and blessing.

You made me feel of worth,
and that I had some value,
to someone...
other than the darkness.

Then you blessed me
beyond all reason,
and told me of Him,
on high...
You really do love me I know.

Miss you Mom.
