"You see me when I travel and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say  even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,  too great for me to understand!"

- Psalm 139

The stained glasswork of artist Claire Mulholland (1941-2013) can be found in the Rock Chapel at St. Beuno's, Tremeirchion, Wales

Listen to poem:
Take the key Loop it round your wrist Stroll outside Let hope persist Up the hill Where cattle graze Electric fence To manage strays Follow grass That bows and beckons Squeaky gate Rusty latch Up the hillock Breath to catch Steep and winding Knees that strain Sensing stillness Tensions drain Atop the mound A stoney chapel With wooden door And lock to grapple But soon inside The gorgeous light Stained in colour Mute, yet bright A chair to sit As eyes adjust.. A bible page Wisdom to trust The candle flickers Waves you home So many souls Not so alone You may recline.. Bathe your heart Arrived have you And yet to start The inward trek So sweet and long The peaceful muse Of angel song

Dear Chris, beautiful poem, quote, narration and pics. I love looking at stained glass whilst in contemplation. Have you visited this chapel? Love the imagery that you have so skilfully captured here - like a portrait. Can sense the peace and tranquility here upon seeing the little chapel and entering after an energetic walk. Your captivating words reaches out to the reader and draws them in. The image of sitting inside with the candles, bible and the light bathing the windows in radiant light

Christina, you are always so generous x thank you! I was at this very place last weekend while on retreat. The Chapel may have been my favourite space (even before the shop selling Fair-trade chocolate). I would recommend. I will use this journey as a meditation for times of reflection and prayer. Bless you friend :) Cx
