'The highway of vinyl' -- love it, Harry. Great turn of phrase. ~ Nostalgia Nut, Gershon

What demise are you talking about dear Harry, surely not yours, you have many great poems to write for us and which we will delight in reading - rock and roll - and Elvis the Pelvis, great songs in that era, but as Kim says with children you learn the new vibes and songs. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

After awhile these titles do get old, as we do. I clung to the old for awhile but now I look to the future...my grandchildren in the apple of my eye and what catches theirs. <3 Kim

You will always shine Harry, so will Rock and Roll. Why even the kids of today are enjoying it more than disco. Some music and memories never fade. Good luck in the contest....Maria Hugs

I would not say they are "shining" any more than you are, dear poet!! Your words too will live on as long as this site remains here and hopefully your poems are passed down to your children. They say when the last person who knew us is dead, then we are "unremembered" in the world. Let's hope this site will remain a permanent fixture for eons!!! (great entry)

Hello Harry … we are very lucky here. Some Sunday afternoons a friend gives the opportunity in a library to listen to vinyl records playing the old songs. Your poem reminds me on how good it is - thanks Harry - Lindsay

I often wonder how these extracts could be judged. This is indeed one of the best. ~~

They say the good things always make a comeback and vinyl certainly is, unlike us, we'll just fade away. Tom
