Robins Revenge

Hopping for donuts
I landed in wet crumbs.
I get chocolate frosting on my left shoe.

They throw me a bit of a roll,
Restaurant’s special item.
I hop to catch it, land on my right wing.

Silly robin! Someone says.
They laugh at me in a nasty, mean way,
So I fly off with their roll in my beak.
