Robin

Robin?
What name
would the Inuit
give to you
whose arrival
could not suggest
our same joys of spring
hence
perhaps your red breast
should signify death.

Turdus migritorious. A bird we share in common. But your twist is simply amazing Maureen.

Thank you Line. It's an older poem, linked to my core. Being a northern country we Canadians I believe have a particular responsibility in the battle against climate change, the precious north that defines us being affected with greater catastrophic speed than anywhere else on our planet. It breaks my heart. <3 xomo
