Robin

Once upon a happy day a robin sang a tune of flowers, trees, and ocean breeze and warm midsummer's moon As Robin sang, the day grew long and noon turned into eve... clear notes fell last on shadowed grass, but 'fore he took his leave he turned to face the setting sun and spread his wings out wide- to moon and sun, to past and to-come, to salt-kissed ocean starlight. When bird took wing on humid air the sand breathed in his song And as he flew o'er waters blue waves smiled and sang along.

Scarlett, this is a very imaginative, well constructed tribue to the songbird I've always regarded as the first sign of spring. Spring brings beauty and, somehow, hope as well. Nicely done! Carolyn
