Rob Researches His Ancestry
Rob Researches His Ancestry
By Elton Camp
His family’s stories filled Rob with glee
For few had ancestors as illustrious as he
The gratifying report he happily approved
A king was his grandfather a bit removed
Nothing could be more splendid
Than from royalty to be descended
At his claims, some folks would sneer
So he decided to make the facts clear
With the use of powerful Internet tools
He would shut the mouth of those fools
When the genealogy was all done
Gloating at them would be such fun
The final report in his hand he clasped
At what he learned, poor Rob gasped
Rob was as embarrassed as could be
There was no king in his family tree
The boastful family stories had been wrong
To a hangman’s descendants he did belong
