Roadways

There is a pulling in my heart, The cause of which I do not know; Perhaps a longing for the past, Or making room for love to grow Whichever way my heart is led – Down dusty roads that leave me cold, Or cobbled streets that catch the sun – I know it will be for the best For whether I find love or pain, My heart will beat just as it has, Not fearing darkness that awaits, Though roads must end, and end the same.
