Road Trip
Time for a road trip let’s hit the road
We will visit the ocean east coast
Wish us well traveling mercies blessings
We will be cold but happy I’m guessing
When I see the wintery sea
I will think of summery things
How I’d like to splash in the pool
But not in winter I’m no fool
We will watch the autumn sky
How the clouds dance on by
As the breeze sing of wind chimes
And the poets write winter rhymes
The little deli small and quaint
Needs more than a little paint
But the food makes up for it
Taste as good as a Hershey kiss
We people watch as we wait
For a specific time of day
When the sun sets like a sail
A beautiful blaze all is well
