Notes About The Poem

Nette's Into the Hexaline Groove Contest ** May 7, 2025

Road Trip

Cruisin' down country lane
Top down, no sign of rain
Singin' with radio
No place special to go
Stop to pick a ripe pear
Bear roars— I'm outta there!

There were a few that were fun years ago. Mercedes with the top down... but with the birth of my first child, it was impractical to keep. Life changes our fortunes, but as long as we're happy in our place in it... that's what we hold on to. Thanks a lot, Daniel.

Lin, cute poem and a great picture to boot. I'm sure many of us have been driving and day dreaming at the same time. It's a real pleasure to be in a position to relax! Hope the bear wasn't a stock market figure!!! Smiles!!
