Road To Nowhere

Long, endless black asphalt
A wide path
A never-ending charade of emptiness
Born of pain,
Misguided
And malaligned
This road offers peace to the wandering mind
A fool's gold it is;
A mere frivolity
A phantasm
Walking to nowhere
How long till you tire?
I will tell you how to be
rid of the road to no place...
Simply retrace your steps back
And make it right all the way
