Riviera

Sun-kissed City,
named the American Riviera,
a princess wearing a cape of mediterranean climate,
a pacific pearl,
now
a hostage
to the mountain's plunder,
the backdrop of fire ravaged hills,
where the prayers of the locals
hold the debris flow intact
until
the next rain
could again
lead a death artillery of boulder
down into it's path.

First of all thank you for your valuable time and comments on Pari Style. Good poem. Beauty of a poem means use of rhetorical devices. This poem too has few of them. Great work of poetry.Emoting emotion nicely done.
