RIVER RIGHTS

The River has always flowed
In the direction of the wave
Riding the tide
Made me feel brave

Over and over again
The ride lost its wonder
Like bolts of lightning
Without any thunder

Choices were made
For the betterment of others
I was the payment
For starstruck lovers

How could one be removed
From the flow of water
Creating new choices
Instead of taking what's offered

Allow the River to run dry
Cease the Right to be
I don't mind stone
As long as I can embody free

.....WILL
