River of Hope

River of Hope

Winging on the winds of time are memories
that we can catch, pull ashore and fondly cogitate
In the river of remembrance, float our paper dreams
Each a Viking boat, afire with love, sorrow or hate

Kindle a warmth in the darkness, feed our soul,
comfort us in winter when we have at last grown old
Stories of life, like lotus pads drift and sway along
to tell the tales we have kept that must now be told

My paper dream I set afloat with hope and faith
It cam back to me on the wings of angels soaring
Now there is not a moment of life when I cannot
set my sails and fly forth to help with my restoring

Give your paper dreams wings to fly far as they can
Believe in what you want, it can be yours so easily
Let go your sorrows, send them whirling in the storm
For I believe my paper dreams float right back to me

I want to get on that kite wing and fly into the River of Hope with you. When you are ready, let me know. Hey, I can tell by this poem. You are ready, and I think you left without me! Good for you!
