Rivalry
Reaching forward, but only touching a wall,
Why won’t you speak to me anymore?
Can't I hear at least one syllable from you?
But you refuse to open the door.
Won't you please tell me what I did to earn this?
Did I enrage you? Make you upset?
Why won't you acknowledge my weeping presence?
Why am I such a nuisance, a threat?
If you would just unlock the board between us,
And then answer my resounding calls,
I promise I'll try my best to change for you,
Just help me break down these heavy walls.
When you do this, I feel like the world has stopped,
Without you here, time is too long,
If agreeing was easier said than done,
Every little argument would pass along.
Our relationship is vanishing, so please,
Let me know why you choose dissonance.
I can't fix anything if I am clueless,
So let's talk away and choose patience.
I know we're both aching and confused right now,
My tears fall in your vision blindly,
Unlock the door and let me speak to you,
I just want to end the rivalry.
