Risk and Reward of Christmas 2020
Mandates and guidelines in some States
of panic and fear.
Masked faces and distance from those
we hold dear.
Part of the reward we are given is
to be near
our fathers and mothers and sisters
and brothers, and others.
Any path we choose is not
devoid of risk.
We weigh the chance of sickness to what
would really be lost.
The reward we are given
is well worth the cost.
