Rising Sun

Though your warmth

be trapped behind

cloud laden skies

You rise to greet us

bringing a little light

on a dreary day

chasing away darkness

that blinds vision

and invades dreams

for a few hours

as once more

night sleeps

and another day

awakens the soul

to embrace

the amazing gift

of life

To wake to a sunny blue sky. Makes one glad that they didn't die. When the clouds rolled in the day before. And I tried to slip out through that door. To know that angels saved the day. And helped me get back on my way.
