Rising sun

Oh, lovely rising sun, where do you go at night, when you sink below the surface of the Earth?
Oh, bright, yellow and shiny sun, you are like a huge beacon of hope in my life every day I wake up.
Oh, huge ball of fire, how hot you are every day that I see you.

Your free verse flows naturally, with the repeated “Oh” giving it a warm, wondering voice. Addressing the sun directly adds intimacy, while the “beacon of hope” image conveys gratitude for its daily return.
