Risen

imagine every illness man has ever known every heartbreak, ache and grief ever bestowed what about temptations whether great or small our Lord Jesus took upon Himself every one of them all imagine carrying the weight of the world literally upon your shoulders bare and every ache inside your heart feeling like no one really cares being put in shackles, wrist and ankles too beaten all about til you are black and blue no defense came for this Man, nothing could be heard and from this beaten Man, not one single word dragged to the middle of town, to a post tied beaten with the cat o nine tails made to tear the flesh a whip with long fingers woven so tight with pieces of metal and jagged glass this the King of the Jews sent to pay our price for our sins and evil ways to give us eternal life someone shouted "he is a king, let us make him a crown" so they twisted a thorny vine and thrust it upon His brow tied to the tree of figs made into a cross was made to drag it through the streets for loving us he paid the cost upon Golgotha's hill they nailed Him to that tree the sun went out and the skies grew black the gates of Hell flew way back as He went thru the gates of the damned He freed those not ment to be condemned on the third day when the family appeared to pay homage to their King Angels instead met them at the door saying gone is the One you are seeking He is risen and alive today

What a great poem Tulisha sometimes we focus on the saintly image of Jesus and forget the pain and suffering He endured for us. A timely rememberance of His great love for us. God Bless. Leon
