Rise
You broke my spirit by saying "I can't "
But I will rise
You push me down
Yes I have fallen but I will rise
You destroy me with your hatred and your lies
But I will rise
You think you are better than I am , because you sit behind a desk and they call you boss.
You look down on me because I don't have your teachings.
But I will rise
You think success is measured by what you have ?
I don't have what you have nor do I want it.
But I will rise
You tell the world I can't amount to anything
But watch me , I will rise ...yes I will rise from the ground, nothing will stop me!
I see your laugher, I see you ridiculing me
But I will rise
I will rise from all the pain and stand tall on the mountain top , in all my glory
You fight me and we have the same skin shade, our forefathers would be ashamed.
I will rise
I will not hate you for thinking you are better than I am , your ego enslave your heart .
I will not look down an another for we are all equal no matter where we come from.
We all can rise
