Rippling Ribbons
Rippling ribbons flutter in the night,
cavorting across ebony skies.
And undulating waves of color,
slip-slide across the blackness of space.
The planet's natural cadence makes
the Aurora Borealis dance.
And a symphony of Northern Lights
starts waltzing in abject solitude.
A melody of visual notes;
plays like music in sync with my soul.
And soon, its hypnotic rhythmic hum;
awakens my imagination.
Like the ethereal breath of God,
the solar winds are intangible.
And my gaze rises to the heavens,
lured by the waltz wrinkling the Night sky.
