Ripples run across the lake Racing to the shore, The unmistakable call of a Loon Echoes across the water When the echoes fade, silence reigns again, Marshmallow clouds floating by Cast their reflection on the water; A cormorant dives beneath the surface To nibble on the clouds... 2-28-2024
