I think, today, I’ll be a little gold fish, Swimming around a tank. I could be as lazy as I ever wanted, Letting my mind just go blank. Then tomorrow, when the sun comes up, I could become a hungry cat, That feasts on that little fish, Till I’m fed and full and fat. Next day, I could be an angry dog, Seeing the cat as a small buffet, Then kill the cat in the park, In a morbid: “dog kills cat” ballet. The next day I’d return to me, The Park Ranger in this little town, And I would push the dog into my van, Being the one to put him down.

Oh MY, this is sure an interesting one, Lewis. I love it! The title RIP became much clearer with stanza 2. DId I thank you for my contest win yet. If not, I do appreciate it!

Too funny! Your first verse fools us into ease. The final verses having us shake our head "oh no!" And perhaps there is a little regret in having to put the old dog down.
