Righteous Bird
I spend my life
On my righteous perch
Mocking you
Like a mocking bird
Do as I say
Not as I do
What's good for me
Is not for you
What I find out
I sing out loud
Telling those
Up and down
What they should say
What they should do
How to behave
What circles to move
I consider myself
A righteous bird
From head to feet
In deed and word
What's good for the gander
Is not for the goose
When all that really matters
Is my version of truth
